Step into the magical worlds of Jaclyn Rodriguez

Jaclyn’s writing branches from epic high fantasy adventures, to sweeping romantasies, portal world science-fantasy wars, and everything SFF genre in between. If it’s imaginative, daring, and original she wants to write it. She has always felt the greatest stories to write are the ones she wants to read. Currently she is working on a dark academia book where powerful immortals face off with every day people using tarot card magic.

Bio

Originating from Tucson, Arizona, Jaclyn Rodriguez grew up in the wild western United States. Her father inspired her to reach for the stars, setting the stage by pursuing and achieving every dream he set his mind to in his short life. After meeting her future husband she moved to Montana for ten years to explore the freedom of the Big Sky Country, completing a Bachelor’s in Education with an emphasis in creative writing and spanish. There they welcomed a son, born with unique special needs including autism, something she is passionate in educating others about. She too is neurodivergent and from a mixed race Puerto Rican background. She is also a proud member of the LGBT community.

My approach

I have always been captivated by the intricacies of fantasy and the power of dealing with real world issues in fictional storytelling. My approach to crafting compelling and unforgettable novels is rooted in my passion for creating intense, thought-provoking, and immersive experiences that leave a lasting impact on the audience. For me, the best fantasy books always challenge our perceptions of our own world, have high stakes action and battle sequences, and tension throughout whether it’s from character, world, or romantic stakes. I look forward to continuing to craft gripping stories that challenge, entertain, and push the boundaries of the fantasy genre.
